Gmail is downwards across the world — just non for everyone

Are you having bug with Gmail, or some other of Google'due south many, many apps? Yous're not lone, because users have been reporting bug accessing their Gmail account on both mobile and desktop devices.

Bug seem to be affecting the power to log into accounts across the U.Southward., U.K. and Europe. What's more it'due south not restricted to Gmail, with Google's own condition page noting issues with the Google Conversation, Meet, Calendar, and Groups.

According to Downwardly Detector issues began at around three a.m. ET/viii a.m. GMT, and slowly grew in the run upward to five a.m. Google has confirmed that there is an consequence, with its full general condition page claiming that: "We are currently investigating an result affecting user access to multiple services affecting users in Europe."

Meanwhile the Gmail Workspace dashboard explicitly confirms that some users are unable to access their Gmail accounts — cutting them off from all their emails in the process. TechRadar Pro also notes that two gene login prompts are running more slowly, and resulted in an error in some cases, farther frustrating the login issues.

The issues haven't affected everyone, though. Only one fellow member of the Tom'south Guide squad has been affected, but they were still able to log in somewhen. Besides we've been able to access Google See calls without issue.

Even so the problem is widespread enough that people are complaining near it on sites like Twitter — though not as much as they did when Snapchat and Facebook services died.

But since Google is now aware of the situation, and considering the outage is only affecting a portion of users, it hopefully won't be very long until everything is up and running again. According to Google, an update is expected by eleven a.m. U.Yard. time, or six a.m. Eastern.
